Old Bangalore | aPaulogy gallery

Paul Fernandes is a visual artist who has put together a chronicle of cartoons of Bangalore in the 70s as he remembers it. His illustrations show a brilliant combination of humor and nostalgia.

Paul’s cartoons let the older Bangalorean be reminded of old Bangalore landmarks, and let the younger generation see how Bangalore’s schools, churches, theatres and restaurants used to look like.

“Some parts of the city have gotten much better, but some are definitely headed in the wrong direction,” says Fernandes. However, he aims to always give a positive and often humoristic twist to the water-colour cartoons.

The gallery of curious memories (or the aPaulogy gallery) is based in Richards Town in Bangalore.
